Phnom Penh
Amanjaya | $$
Character Boutique
The Amanjaya commands one of the most enviable locations in the city overlooking the mighty Tonle Sap River on Sisowath Quay. It is in a quiet spot, ever harder to find in this bustling city, yet within easy walking distance to the important tourist sights and collection of restaurants and bars.
The hotel has just 21 spacious king bedded rooms each with large bathroom, air-conditioning, cable TV, minibar and free wireless internet connection throughout the property. The rooms have a colonial feel and are decorated subtly with hued fabrics and dark wood furniture. The restaurant is superb and offers a good selection of both local and international fare – the banana flower salad is sublime! There is also a well stocked bar that makes excellent Mojito’s!
The Amanjaya is, in our opinion, easily the best value for money accommodation option in the capital and for this reason please book early as with only a limited amount of rooms is usually the first hotel to fill. The only thing it lacks is a swimming pool but with so much to see and do in this city that is generally not a problem!
This is just one of the hotels that we recommend in this area. If your favourite is not featured just let your consultant know - we will be happy to book it for you!
