Chile - DESTINATIONS & HOTELS

MV Via Australis

The MV Via Australis is a handsome expedition vessel constructed in 2005 which offers magnificent cruises through the spectacular glacier-topped Patagonian fjords.

Similar in style to the Stella Australis, the Via is modern and comfortable in design with generous windows throughout to accentuate the views and delivers first class service amidst traditional, formal elegance.

There are 64 en-suite cabins spanning 4 decks to cater to a maximum of 136 guests. The cabins are contemporary in style, furnished with warm, neutral colours and spread across 4 categories from B to AAA. All cabins are identical in size with the lowest category B found on the bottom deck and subsequent categories advancing up the boat.

The Via Australis offers 3 and 4 night, fully-comprehensive cruises departing from Punta Arenas, Chile, and Ushuaia in southern Argentina. The voyages take in the breathtaking scenery of the southern fjords including a stop at the iconic Cape Horn National Park (weather permitting). Guests head out each day on zodiac boat trips to enjoy the spectacular icebergs, glaciers and wildlife colonies and are treated each evening to lectures on the area’s history, flora and fauna.

From Punta Arenas, the two standard cruises are as follows:-
