The delightful Langham 88 Xintiandi boutique hotel is located in the heart of Xintiandi district – the regenerated fashionable, artistic shopping and gourmet centre of the city where you will find some of the city’s very best restaurants, bars and independent designer shops are right on the doorstep. It overlooks the beautiful Taipingqiao Lake and park hence in the midst of both modern skyscrapers on the one hand and a tranquil lake on the other.

The interior design of the rooms is a juxtaposition of the old and the new, the East and the West. Rooms are furnished with antique fixtures but also laden with contemporary furnishings that exude both nostalgia and modernity. Room facilities include in room safe, broadband internet access, a well equipped kitchen and bathroom (somewhat small though they are). Many rooms have balconies overlooking the shops and restaurants. Sitting areas have large flat-screen TVs and DVD players.
Guests can further indulge at the 88 Spa and Gym, with full fitness facilities and two treatment rooms.
In our opinion Langham 88 Xintiandi is the best little boutique hotel in the city. It is quite expensive and does lack a little in facilities when compared to similarly priced larger 5 star hotels, but the location and its easy access to the galleries, shopping and eateries of Xintiandi more than make up for this.
