Began in 1988, the building of Langham Place was part of the largest urban renewal project in Hong Kong. The Mongkok area where the hotel is situated used to be just a cluster of dilapidated and pre-war buildings housing about 6000 people in a poor living environment. The whole project has taken 16 years to complete and today Langham Place has brought new life to this old neighbourhood and kick-started a sustained regeneration process in Mongkok. The area now has a new lease of life and there are many shops and restaurants opening all the time. The hotel is well serviced with an MTR link and taxis.

The hotel rises up 42 floors and comprises 665 spacious and luxurious hotel rooms and suites all with floor to ceiling windows. The Deluxe Rooms are a little on the small side but are extremely well equipped with all the modern amenities you would expect when staying in one of the most technologically advanced cites in the world. We definitely recommend upgrading to an Executive Room or higher category, this will afford you more space and the added benefits of a 42 inch plasma screen, the ultra comfirtable Langham “blissful bed”, an IP Web enabled phone and iHome MP3 player.

The hotel has five dining options, each serving the freshest food of the highest quality in a wide variety of styles – sure to please the most discerning of diners! The Chuan Spa on the 40th floor of the hotel, directly below the gym incorporates 10 luxurious treatment rooms offering more than sixty health and beauty treatments including massage, hydrotherapy, body wraps, facials and intensive foot and hand therapies. This very modern hotel is a little away from the main action down in Tsim Sha Tsui and Hong Kong Island but the MTR link in the shopping centre beneath the hotel make access easy, but stepping out on to the streets in Mongkok gives you the real feeling that you are in fact in China - you will not find global brand fast food or coffee outlets on every street corner! The whole area has a much more authentic feel to it that we at Oasis Travel real like.
