This large resort nestles upon the sandy fringes of the spectacular Karambunai Peninsula, approximately, one hours drive from Kota Kinabalu. It is set in over 3000 acres of natural and landscaped surroundings that create a perfect backdrop for all 485 well-appointed guestrooms, suites and luxury villas.

All guestrooms are tastefully furnished with panoramic views of the South China Sea or the beautifully manicured golf course and lush ancient rainforest. Each guestroom comes equipped with exclusive designer amenities and is furnished in subtle, complimentary earth tones. The rooms are not particularly inspiring but come complete with all the mod cons you would expect of a resort of this standard.

There are eight restaurants and bars to choose between and an almost endless array of leisure and recreational activities, including three freeform swimming pools, Jacuzzi, gymnasium, squash and tennis courts, the Borneo Spa, a children’s club and playground, a 75-acre nature park as well as water-sports, and sea and river activities at the resort’s Lagoon Park. You will find a great 18-hole championship golf course to the rear of the resort.

Nexus is a great palace to spend a few days to relax either following or preceding your Borneo adventure. It is a little isolated, but that is part of its charm. If you want to be near the town you need to look at other hotel choices. However if you are looking for a relaxing remote location and wonderful beach, proximity to a golf course, good selection of restaurants all at an affordable price the Nexus is a very good choice!
