This resort is located in remote primary rainforest and designed in the traditional style of style of ethnic longhouses; built on wooden stilts, three metres above the ground. It is in an atmospheric spot on the banks of the Melinau River near the Gunung Mulu World Heritage Area. Access to Mulu is generally by light aircraft from Miri and once in the park exploration is on foot or by boat.

The resort has 188 tastefully designed rooms, each of which have parquet flooring, mini-bar and individually controlled air-conditioning as well as an individual balcony overlooking the jungle and/or the river. The series of buildings are linked by wooden walkways. There is a restaurant but it only serves a limited buffet style menu that features both international and western fare. There are a few local food stalls just outside of the resort that we suggest you should try. A swimming pool with built-in Jacuzzi makes for an invigorating way to finish a day’s exploration of the nearby national park.
