Set amidst tea plantations and rolling hills just 200km from KL, this serene boutique hideaway delivers all the grand colonial heritage you associate with the Cameron Highlands – so named after William Cameron, a British Government surveyor who discovered it in 1885 whilst on a mapping expedition. At approximately 1500 metres above sea level, it is the highest area on the mainland and enjoys a cool climate and fresh air, making it the perfect escape from the hot lowlands.

The resort captures the elegant style of yesteryear when quality and care were a way of life. Each of the 56 well-appointed rooms features a stylish colonial design that is spacious and comfortable. The rooms come complete with a balcony, a flat screen colour satellite TV, a safety deposit box, refrigerator, tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer and an IDD telephone. All rooms and suites enjoy a beautiful view of the golf course against a backdrop of rolling hills and lush green forest.

The Dining Room, with vista windows overlooking the golf course and the surrounding hills, offers a casual atmosphere and serves up fare produced with only the freshest ingredients from the nearby farms in both European and Asian styles. There is also a Japanese restaurant and the Jim Thompson Tea Room which serves the most authentic English cream team outside of the UK!

Resort facilities include a reading room, with complimentary WiFi access, a snooker room as well as a wonderful spa. In fact where as most visitors to this part of the peninsula come for the scenery and weather the Spa Village has made the destination one of the regions newest dedicated spa destinations – such are the quality of the treatments.

If you are looking busy restaurants and bars coupled with the usual hectic life style associated with much of Asia then avoid the Cameron Highlands.
