Located on the South-Western coast of Langkawi, Casa del Mar is just a 10-minute drive from the airport and in close proximity to Kuah Town. The resort sits on Pantai Cenang Beach, the most popular entertainment area in Langkawi. The exterior of the resort is European in style but once inside it is decidedly colonial in feel. The lobby is more akin to a large personal sitting room than a hotel entrance.
All 34 rooms are sea facing and are cooled by air-conditioning and ceiling fans. Floor to ceiling sliding picture windows provide unhindered vistas of Cenang Beach and the ocean. All rooms feature in-room safe, mini bar, fresh ground coffee and tea making facilities, daily fresh milk, hairdryer, bathrobes and slippers. Suites are much larger and situated on the first floor and feature romantic 4 poster beds and separate living areas.
The Dining Room serves a fine choice of both eastern and western fare as well as a selection of contemporary Mediterranean fusion dishes and all accompanied by a choice of 100 wines from around the globe. You can choose to dine in the dining area, by the pool or under the stars in the coconut grove. The hotel has a small fitness centre and spa that offers a wide range of treatments.
This hotel is a favourite with expats and tourists alike and, due to its professional service, excellent food, in the heart of it location and great value, is often fully booked well in advance - so be warned, you need to book early – especially in peak season! The resort is unfussy and relaxed and quite unlike anything else in Langkawi.
