This eclectic little resort is set in 12 acres of lush jungle that onto 200 acres of forest reserve on the southern coast of Pangkor Island. The accommodation is cocooned on the gentle slopes of a hill overlooking mainland and the ocean. The resort was designed by the owners and modelled on a mix of the traditional Malay wooden house and a colonial hill station house. Their art works and paintings can be found adding a splash of colour throughout the resort.
There are currently only 7 rooms, 4 in the Hill House, 2 in the Main House, the Studio and coming soon the Pool House Chalet. The rooms are basic and functional, spotlessly clean and all are colourfully decorated with owner Rebecca’s artworks making Tiger Rock one of the most unique little island escapes in Asia. The focal point of the resort is pool and it is here you will find the kitchen and dining areas where the chef prepares some of the best homemade meals you can imagine, all made from fresh island produce. Rates are inclusive of breakfast, lunch and dinner.
This quirky resort makes a refreshing change from the larger faceless resorts that litter the islands in this beautiful part of the world. If it is simplicity, relaxation, good food, artistic inspiration and a wonderful location Tiger Rock is the ideal choice.
