Located just a couple of kilometres from Mandalay Hill and the former royal palace The Sedona is a good international standard hotel option.
The hotel features 247 graciously appointed rooms and suites, with an inviting décor that hints at a fusion of the ethnic and the modern. In room facilities include air-conditioning, minibar, safe deposit box and satellite TV. There is a reasonable selection of bars and restaurants serving a good mix of local and international fare. The outdoor swimming pool, tennis court and gymnasium will keep you fitness levels up and for anyone looking to relax there is a massage service available.
Oasis does not normally recommend such large, international style hotels but Mandalay is sadly lacking in smaller boutique style properties. The Sedona, although rather soulless, is one of the better options of its class and makes an ideal base form where to explore this fascinating city.
