The magnificent scenery of the Bay of Bengal provides a secluded and romantic setting for the stylish and delightfully appointed Aureum Palace Hotel. As with all the Ngapali hotels it is located directly on the waters edge.
Each of the 42 air-conditioned two-room cottages has a, private veranda, candlelit bathroom with Jacuzzi and open air shower, and is hidden in its own secluded tropical garden beside Ngapali's famous white-sand beach. Cottages are surrounded by secluded walls, which when combined with the resorts lush vegetation, assures guests have complete privacy. The choice is between garden view, or for that extra touch of luxury, why not slash out on a sea view? The interiors and size are exactly and each feature individual air-conditioning, satellite TV, minibar, safe and hand-crafted teak furniture. The resort is also home to the one off “Executive Cottage”, which, at present, is the only accommodation in the area to have its own private swimming pool.
The Ocean Bay Restaurant serves both local and international fare and specialises in locally caught seafood. There are also a couple of bars including the rather cheesy Pirate Bar. As well as huge swimming pool the resort has a dedicated spa offering the standard array of massages and therapies.
We at Oasis like the Aureum as it has a splash of colour and individuality not present in the uber chic Sandoway and designer Amata resorts. The rooms are all huge and even when fully booked the resort does not feel full as it is spread out across well tended gardens. The resort has a much more European feel to it that will appeal to many.
