This new resort occupies the prime beach front site in this developing, quiet area of Myanmar, looking in to the Bay of Bengal. It is located a 5 hour drive from Yangon or there are now some irregular flight to Pathein from where you make the final hours transfer by road.

The 61 attractive, spacious bungalows, with either sea or garden view, and 5 Executive Suites - with a separate shared pool and butler service - are built in traditional, colonial style amongst the tropical vegetation or along the beach with large verandas looking out to the sea. Wood, rattan and cotton furnishings complete a picture of tropical elegance. Marble bathrooms, outside showers, satellite TV and other excellent facilities are provided without compromising the natural environment.

The resort has a good quality restaurant serving local, Thai and western cuisine as well as two bars, an impressive lobby area and a spa featuring Ayurvedic and traditional Myanmar massages. There is also a reasonable sized swimming pool, boutique shop and small business centre.

Unfortunately no one from Oasis has had the chance to personally inspect this property but our ground handler in Myanmar tells us it is an excellent choice in this little visited corner of the country.
