This magnificent resort is located on the secluded Klong Prao Beach with a backdrop of fertile, green mountains. The resort easily accessible from Bangkok either by road and ferry or a short flight to Trat and on by road and ferry with the total journey time by either means in the region of just 4 hours.

All 165 superior, deluxe rooms and suites have striking solid wood furniture and reflect modern Thai design influences. They each boast views from the large terraces and balconies of the idyllic cove or nearby lush mountains. The rooms are all elegantly furnished and bright with oversized beds dressed with fine white linens.

The resort has a good choice of restaurants and bars catering to all tastes. They include international favourites at the Cove Terrace, authentic Thai cuisine in Just Thai and a modern twist on Italian classics at Sassi. The poolside bar features cocktails and canapés, while Breezes Bar displays an extensive drinks menu and live music most nights. With prior booking there is also the option for a romantic sunset dining experience on the beach.

One of the main features of the resort is the stunning 50 meter lap pool, ideal for relaxing around on those lazy days. For the more energetic daily activities, such as kayaking, beach volleyball, yoga, Thai-cooking classes and massage classes are all readily available as well as an activities centre, fitness suite, internet room. Koh Chang is now gaining a reputation for its diving and a PADI dive centre that can cater for all levels of diver including novices is very near by. Another major feature of the property is the exquisite Silvara Spa which offers pampering in a luxury setting on a level not found elsewhere on the island.

The first of the top of the range hotels on Koh Chang, Amari Emerald Cove is, in our opinion, still the market leader on the island. Although the beach is not the greatest the huge pool and attractive decking area more than compensate. The Spa is superb and the dining options excellent. There are a few budget restaurants within walking distance should you wish to drag yourself away. All in all we think the style, charm and sophistication of the resort will delight even the most discerning traveller!
