Napasai is a secluded resort on the island's stylish north coast. Nestling on gentle slopes leading down to the unspoilt white sand of the small beach, it offers a selection of beautiful Thai-style cottages and private two and three bedroom pool villas. Tropical teak furnishings and cotton drapes blend with traditional weavings and unusual pieces of Thai art to give each room its cosy, welcoming atmosphere. Bathrooms are large and spacious and come equipped with huge fluffy towels and excellent spa products.

Napasai provides two excellent restaurants, one indoor and one beachfront. Whether you prefer the fiery zing of authentic Thai cuisine, or seafood prepared with French flair, the Napasai will seduce you with its selected dishes. The Lai Thai Restaurant serves Thai and international cuisine in a relaxing environment with high ceilings and stone-tiled flooring. The restaurant boasts large floor to ceiling windows allowing 180 degree views across the resort and the ocean beyond. Light and casual poolside fare is served at the Beachfront Restaurant, specialising in Thai and international dishes for lunch and dinner daily. If you would rather relax and dine in the sanctity of your room there is a wide choice of both French and Thai delicacies backed up by an extensive wine and beverages list all available from the room service menu. One minor criticism of the dining could be that it is a little pricey and there is not much in the way of a snack menu, however this is overcome by the sheer quality of the food available. The restaurants are complimented by two bars serving a full selection of wines, spirits, beers and tasty cocktails.
The Napasai Spa offers a wide range of relaxing treatments, massages and indulgences, rooted in Thai traditional medicine, local herbs and Oriental philosophies. Its name, Ytsara, means freedom in Thai. Inspired by an Asian healing philosophy, Ytsara's holistic treatments use a combination of natural ingredients such as tropical fruits and flowers to balance physical and psychological wellbeing.
The huge swimming pool is a prefect spot to relax, or for the more energetic tennis and a full range of activities is available. These include Kayaking, snorkelling, table tennis, mountain bikes and a selection of tours such as deep-sea fishing. The islands excellent golf course is just a five minute drive away.
Despite being slightly isolated and only having a small beach Napasai is still our favourite “top end” resort of the many on offer in Koh Samui. The service, food and room quality are all first class. Highly recommended for honeymooners or for a perfect romantic break.
