The Chedi, Chiang Mai features 52 exquisitely appointed Deluxe Rooms and 32 Chedi Club Suites. Contemporary-Asian in design, with stylish furnishings and muted tones, the allure of the resorts accommodation is elegantly understated. The Deluxe Rooms all have private courtyard entrances leading into bedrooms with open plan bathrooms. Graceful fittings, Asian art pieces and floorings of teak and terrazzo convey an air of urban discretion, while sizeable balconies offer views of the Mae Ping River and mountain range. The Club Suites are twice the size of the Deluxe Rooms with large seating areas for lounging and indoor dining. Generous open balconies with comfortable daybeds allow for exclusive al fresco entertaining.

Dining is a sheer delight with a choice of charming venues to suit every occasion. Cuisine is authentic and of the freshest ingredients and service remains attentive yet unobtrusive. Business travellers will appreciate the complimentary wireless Internet access at all bars and lounges. Signature dining is at “The Restaurant” and specialises in traditional Northern Thai dishes, Pacific Rim cuisine and innovative Asian culinary creations all complemented by an extensive wine list and set in a wonderful split-level Colonial house.
The Terrace Bar and Lounge offers cocktails, delicious snacks, a premium wine list and a cigar menu. The Chedi Club Lounge is exclusive to Suite guests and serves complimentary daily continental breakfast, afternoon tea, cocktails and canapés. Room service is available 24 hours a day.
The resort facilities include an outdoor swimming pool, fully equipped fitness centre with a yoga room and a library. The 10 room Spa offers traditional Thai Massage, Warm Stone Massage and the signature “Chedi Massage”. Other treatments on the extensive menu include body scrubs, wraps, herbal baths and facials.
In our opinion The Chedi, Chiang Mai is in the perfect location if you want to explore the many temples, markets and restaurants on foot but at the same time stay in a chic, modern, comfortable resort. The Deluxe Rooms are a little small, so its well worth upgrading to the Suite Room, but that said in a city like Chiang Mai how much time will you spend in the room anyway?
