The 42 room traditional “Lanna style” Yaang Come is located directly in the heart of downtown Chiang Mai, set in a haven of calm under the shade of the eponymous Yaang tree. The lush surrounds give it the feel of staying in botanical gardens; such is the prevalence of well tended indigenous flora. Inside, the hotel is intimate and very traditional; staff are elaborately dressed in old-fashioned Northern Thai style uniforms and extremely attentive giving a clear sensation of being taken back in time.
Each of the locally decorated 42 air-conditioned rooms has a private balcony and the deluxe rooms have king size bathtubs (most welcome if you have been trekking!) and the junior suite has a Jacuzzi.

The restaurant serves a good, if not outstanding, mix of Thai and Western fare, but with the proliferation of superb restaurants and the food stalls of the night bazaar just a minute away, the choice is yours. The attractive shaded swimming pool is perfect if you need a day or afternoon relaxing and the hotel can also offer traditional Thai massage.
The Yaang Come is definitely our favourite hotel of its class in downtown Chiang Mai, perfect for anyone looking for a traditional retreat for a great price with great access to all that the city has to offer right on your doorstep!
