Suanthip Vana Resort is located amidst the splendid natural forests of Chiang Rai province, two hours by road from either city of Chiang Mai or Chiang Rai. The resort comprises a series of 5 low rise pavilions perched on a hillside overlooking the lush paddy fields and forests. Each pavilion houses only six suites with its own terrace. All rooms are exquisitely furnished in teakwood.

There are also six hill tribe villas, each free standing and made in the traditional way, but inside you will find they are decorated and furnished to surprisingly high standards and each complimented by open air bathrooms with rainforest showers and some with wooden bath tubs.

The unique restaurant serves both Western and International cuisine using fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Parts of the resort are equipped with Wireless Internet facility but for those wanting to leave communications behind them there is an outdoor swimming pool, massage service and a herbal sauna on offer.

This resort is extremely isolated but that is the whole point! It is a great place to relax in outstanding countryside and let the world pass you by or to use as a base for taking day trips with your guide out to the hill tribes, go elephant trekking or walking.
