Phang Nga Bay is celebrated for its outstanding natural beauty and particularly for its stunning limestone karst island outcrops. It is these awe-inspiring limestone pinnacles that make up the view from this, the newest, offering from the ultra luxurious Six Senses group. Travelling time from Phuket airport is approximately one hour by motor boat, or for the ultimate arrival experience, take the 15 minute helicopter option.
Each of the 56 accommodation offerings represents the absolute height of luxury; you will not find any typical standard or deluxe rooms here! The entry level rooms are the Pool Villas and whilst Oasis does not usually list room sizes in our appraisals we feel it is important to do so at this special resort. Each of the Pool Villas provides a total of 154 sqm private space, comprising 80 sqm bedroom, bathroom and seating area, 56 sqm outdoor terrace with sun loungers and outside dining area and an 18 sqm private infinity edge swimming pool!
In room amenities include all the expected luxury items such as satellite TV and a DVD player plus a few extra special touches such as Bose hifi system with docking station for a personal Ipod, espresso machines and a specialised wine fridge. For lovers of excessive luxury try the Deluxe Pool Villas and Pool Villas Suites that are even larger and on built across split levels. And for the ultimate escape with either friends or family try the “Hill Top Reserve” which offers an astounding total area of 1473 sqm, including a 246 sqm swimming pool!
The restaurants also live up to the luxury accommodation and serve truly spectacular fare from around the globe. The Living Room and Terrace offers wonderful buffets with various seating options ranging from cosy booths to private outdoor dining pavilions. The atmosphere in the Living Room and Terrace is casual and relaxed. The Dining Room is the fine dining option and features sumptuous Mediterranean cuisine. A central split-level structure features a chef's table, a cooking station with wrap around table on the upper floor and main dining area the lower level. These alternatives are complimented with several private dining pavilions scattered in the wild mangroves and plantation palms. A tranquil water feature meanders through this area, while the organic vegetable garden is close at hand for the freshest salads. There is of course the option of in villa dining and for the true romantics the villa butler will arrange for a champagne breakfast, a private picnic or an evening barbecue beneath the stars, with a personal chef and waiter at the ready.
The list of activities on offer is endless and includes water skiing, helicopter golfing, speed boat tours, luxury yacht charter and cooking school to name but a few. Six Senses are probably best know for their signature spas and Six Senses Hideaway Yao Noi is home to the holistic Six Senses Spa which provides a truly relaxing and revitalizing experience, offering therapeutic menus to rejuvenate and revitalize the senses. Skilled therapists create sensory journeys for guests, with a range of holistic wellness and pampering treatments. The spa is set in the lush tropical forested hillside and is styled after an Asian long-house. In addition, there are several separate treatment salas and a gym.
