This 26 room designer boutique resort is located on the beachfront at the southern end of Hua Hin. The recognised town centre is approximately 4 kilometres away, just far enough to avoid the tourist crowds but giving great access to the abundance of great restaurants and bars.
Set amongst lush tropical gardens the rooms are housed in a low rise modern setting utilising clean architectural lines, lots of dark wood and tasteful water features. Each room has a water view, whether it is the ocean, the pool or the fresh water ponds. All rooms are larger than average for Hua Hin and all have the added benefit of a balcony. The bathrooms are all bright modern and airy, many with out door showers.

The elegant restaurant is contemporary and stylish in design and serves both Thai and Western fare. The menu is fairly standard for this category of resort, but the service is friendly and unhurried and the prices very reasonable. There are alternative dining options, both along the beach and the main street, within easy walking distance. There is also a beach bar, a coffee shop and an occasional beach BBQ.
The hotel has a great swimming pool that looks out to the ocean. There are high speed internet services available if required. There are also many close by attractions that the hotel will be happy to assist you getting to as well as the numerous local golf courses.
The Rock is a great new addition to Hua Hin giving a modern alternative in an intimate setting to the international chain hotels. It is on a small plot and the public areas are a touch cramped, not really suited to families with young children but that is not their target market anyway. The service is not as slick as the larger hotels but the atmosphere is also much more relaxed. This hotel is not for everyone but anyone who appreciates great design, value for money all in a relaxed laid back atmosphere, just far enough away from the crowds, this is a great choice.
