Khao Sok National Park
The Khao Sok National Park is an hour’s drive from Khao Lak. It is covered by some of the oldest evergreen rainforest in the world, huge limestone mountains, deep valleys, breathtaking lakes and home to elusive wild animals such as elephant, leopard and tiger. Elephant trekking, trekking on foot, canoeing and jeep safaris are all available. It is also home to the very rare Rafflesia, the world’s largest flower (an 80cm diameter that blooms in Jan or Feb). For the adventurous we can arrange a stay in well appointed tents at the Elephant Hills Tented Camp located deep in the park.
