For anyone looking for the most ultra chic resort in Samui, look no further than The Library! This elegant, minimalist resort is set in a lush environment that fronts directly on to Koh Samui’s premier beach, namely Chaweng. Once you enter the resort the frantic pace of the bars and restaurants outside seems to disappear.
The 26 accommodation units are simply split in to 2 categories, suites on the ground floor and studios on the upper floor. The interiors are finished in a distinctive minimalist style and equipped to the highest standard that even includes an iMac with broadband connection for your personal use and a huge plasma television with DVD player! The Suite bathrooms include Jacuzzis whilst the Studios sport bathtubs with rain forest style showers.

Suites
The Suite units are assigned on the ground floor. Each unit has one master bedroom of 25 sqm and an open-air living area of 20 sqm., equipped with wooden shutters to allow sea breeze and wind to freely blow into this area. A personal computer with broadband connection is provided. The bathroom area is approximately 19 sqm. and features a Jacuzzi, rain shower and dressing area. The terrace area at the front of the suite has private sun loungers, perfect for relaxing in and finishing that book!
Room size is approximately 76 sqm
Studios
The Studio units are positioned on the upper floor of each accommodation unit. The space is divided into three areas, the master bedroom with living corner, the balcony and bathroom with dressing area. Lively fabric colour tones worked in to the interior design enhances the ambience. Each unit has a sideways sea view and is surrounded by tropical vegetation and a shade of high huge old trees.
Room size is approximately 67 sqm
One of the most striking features of the resort is the red tiled swimming pool that over looks the beach, certainly one of a kind in Koh Samui if not the whole of Thailand! The pool is complimented by a small fitness centre. There is, of course, a library that stocks a wide selection of books as well as DVD’s, CD’s and games.
The Page, the uber trendy restaurant, serves both Asian and western fare. Its reputation has grown quickly amongst both trendy locals and expats; reservations are recommended, particularly at weekends.
The Library is without doubt the most stylish and modernist resort on the island and highly recommended if that is your taste!! A real Oasis favourite.
