Specifically designed and built for Galapagos cruises, the MV Athala II is a beautiful 98 foot catamaran and one of the most comfortable and stylish vessels of its kind on the water.
Totally remodelled in 2011, the Athala sports sleek modern interiors and cosy communal spaces. Polished teak floorboards run throughout the catamaran from the stylish lounge and restaurant to the outside decks.
There are just 8 comfortable and fully air-conditioned cabins which overlook the sparkling water through large picture windows. The decor is modern and contemporary with well-appointed en suite bathrooms. The four cabins on the main deck feature a private balcony, perfect for enjoying a moment alone amidst the spectacular, natural setting.
Guests are treated to both inside and al fresco dining and enjoy a mix of international and regional flavours.
The Athala II operates 5 and 7 night cruises to explore the breathtaking flora and fauna of the outer islands. Daily excursions are led by expert naturalist guides and range from nature walks and kayaking to panga rides. There are regular opportunities to swim and snorkel amongst the resident wildlife with all equipment provided free of charge.
On board, passengers can take advantage of the modern lounge, spot whales and dolphins from the sun deck or simply sink into the jacuzzi and watch the islands float by.
The MV Athala II is a small, intimate catamaran and among our favourite boats of its size in the Galapagos.
This is just one of the boats that we recommend in this area. If your favourite is not featured just let your consultant know - we will be happy to book it for you!
