Located in one of the largest lagoons in the Maldives the Soneva Gili is the Maldives original all over water villa resort and continues to lead the way with its palatial villas on stilts. Apart from the sparkling waters, the tiny island provides a very intimate atmosphere fused with luxuries of the highest international standard to create a wonderfully serene and natural experience.
Home to just 45 sumptuous over-water villas each has been designed and built with the utmost attention to detail and also in an environmentally-friendly way. Villas are accessed by walkways, with the exception of the 7 Crusoe Residences and Private Reserve which for ultimate seclusion are reached only by boat. All villas have been stylishly furnished using natural materials and fabrics and all come with a large living room, complete with day beds and spacious bathroom with an open-air walkway to a separate shower steps down to your own private swimming area.
While there are plenty of reasons to relax, there are also plenty of activities to keep you busy at Soneva Gili, perhaps head out on a dive boat, have a game of tennis or head out to sea for a spot of deep sea fishing. The overwater Six Senses spa is rightly known for its healing massages and luxurious facials, but seasoned spa lovers might like to try Reiki, acupuncture, private yoga, or a 3- to 14-day Ayurveda program.
Dining at Soneva Gili is just as much about the setting as it is the delectable cuisine with several options available for outdoor dining. Guests can enjoy a moonlight dinner on your own private deck or on the resorts luxury boat as it cruises under the stars on the lagoon.
