Tibetan Adventure
Lhasa – Gyantze – Shigatse - Lhasa 7days
This very adventurous itinerary heads away from the comfort zone of Lhasa and passes through the rural countryside to the east of the capital to the remote towns of Gyantze and Shigatse. In Lhasa explore the Barkhor district of the city where you will see Buddhist pilgrims that have travelled from far and wide finalising their incredible journeys, see the yellow hat lamas and the great debating ceremonies as well as exploring the infamous Potala Palace. From Lhasa head east where you pass through remote villages and sacred monasteries - home to the Panchen Lamas, discover incredible high altitude lakes and learn firsthand about the difficulties faced by the locals who reside in this beautiful and remote corner of our planet.

Yunnan and Tibetan Odyssey
Lijiang – Shangri-La – Lhasa – Gyantze – Shigatse – Lhasa 14 days
The ancient cobbled back streets of Lijiang are a reflection of how China used to be, admittedly they are now getting busier but as you head off in to the remote countryside to Tiger Leaping Gorge and far flung Naxi tribal villages you will leave all semblance of western society behind you. The fabled town of Shangri-La will is the perfect place to relax and acclimatise to the altitude before flying to the once forbidden land of Tibet, where you will explore the cultural heritage and monastic life of the monks and lamas in Lhasa and the rarely visited Tibetan towns of Gyantze and Shigatse located high in the distant mountains along ancient trading routes.
