This is an absolute favourite for a charming, family run truly boutique hotel. Quoc Hoa’s location is right in the heart of the Old Quarter in a typical Hanoi street, with so much to explore right at the doorstep. We immediately felt right at home in this hotel, and highly recommend it if you are looking for the local charm and flavour of Hanoi.
The building is a traditional eight-storey Hanoi terrace that has been renovated and retained the charm and feel of the city with the room furnishings and decorations featuring traditional dark wood and rustic furniture. Being a small original building, the rooms vary in size, but the benefit is that they are all unique, some with the original charming windows and some featuring balconies with views to the street below. Families can be accommodated here in larger rooms and the suite has a very romantic four-poster bed.
Whilst all the local delights of Vietnamese cuisine is right at your door and within easy walking distance, there is a charming roof-top restaurant with great views over the Old Quarter, open for both breakfast and dinner.
There is also a fitness centre, though not very sophisticated but for those who have this as a must have it fits the bill. Our preference for exercise would be a jog around the nearby Hoan Kiem Lake which will offer much more interesting scenery than any gym.
Other standard facilities offered include business centre, bar, 24 hour room service and broadband internet access. The success of this hotel lies in its charm, location and the cosy and warm atmosphere created by the owners.
