Coco Beach has a wonderful atmosphere, created by the relaxed and simple charm of the resort and its European owners. This is a place where relaxation is immediate, sitting on the balcony of your wooden beach hut gazing at the ocean and with only 34 rooms you may just feel you have found the ultimate castaway destination.
The location is beach front, in the centre of the sleepy village of Mui Ne Beach and an easy walk to many fabulous local restaurants specialising in local fresh seafood and traditional Vietnamese fare.
All rooms are traditional wooden beach huts with thatched roofs. The interiors are simple but still characterised by wooden furniture and new modern bathrooms. Each hut has a balcony and all are placed to ensure ocean views, even if you are not closest to the beach itself. Some huts accommodate families with 2 bedrooms. Room facilities include in-room safe, hairdryer, and mini bar though we took advantage of the convenience store directly opposite the resort for supplies. A note for TV addicts, there are no TV’s in the rooms, which we found an excellent way to escape from the busy outside world.
A beachside restaurant offers breakfast with a view, and also serves throughout the day and night as well as the option to snack on the beach served by a beach butler. There is a bar with billiards, a library to borrow books and magazines and a resort shop. The pool is adequate though not huge, but most guests spend their time on the beach lounges.
Beachside manicures, pedicures and massages are amazingly inexpensive and offered in the spa hut by the beach. Enjoying a pedicure by the ocean is truly relaxing and a nice way to meet some of the other guests.
Coco Beach is a well run, well-maintained and very relaxed resort – perfect for a beach getaway with a difference.
