Equatorial Guinea - DESTINATIONS & HOTELS

Monte Temelón Natural Reserve

Sandwiched between the border of Cameroon and the rising highlands forming the heart of the Rio Muni, the Monte Temelón Natural Reserve is an overlooked section of backcountry ripe for exploration.

Best known for a vast array of fauna, sprawling 1,200 square kilometres in vast swathes of greenery, you will be delighted by the mist swirling over the canopies atop the trees, and spy crocodiles lurking on the muddy banks of whirling rivers. The shy, harmless giant pangolin is endemic in this magical place. These fascinating mammals wholly-covered in scales use those scales to protect themselves from predators in the wild.
