Cameron Highlands

Malaysia - Peninsula Malaysia West Coast

Situated in the cool air 1,500 metres above sea level, the Cameron Highlands comprises a series of little townships that offer a unique throw back to Malaysiaā€™s colonial past. Whatā€™s more, at just over 3.5 hours drive from KL they are easy to reach, either by self drive or chauffeured by your private driver/guide.

The Highlands offer many things to see and do including walks through lovely minute villages, visits to the butterfly, strawberry, honey bee farms and sprawling tea plantations or meals at the delightful Tudor-styled country inns. One other popular activity in Cameron Highlands, actually more of a tradition, is to take traditional English style tea and scones. This very English custom dates back to the days when English colonial officers used this hilly location as a cool getaway from the heat of the lowlands. Bird-watching and trekking to hilltribe villages are also popular activities.
