The Maldives - Oasis Highlights

There are so many highlights in this fascinating country that it is impossible to list them all here. Our travel consultants will discuss your interests and be able to put a specific itinerary together for you, but below are a few must seeā€™s!

CENTRAL ATOLLS

The nutrient-rich water surrounding the Central Atolls attracts marine life from the open sea and divers worldwide. Get up close and personal swimming alongside whale sharks.’These gentle giants are found all year round in the Maldives, tending to favour the western side between May and December before heading east until April. The Marine Protected Area, South Ari Atoll, is one of the best places in the Maldives to snorkel or dive with these amazing creatures.

NORTHERN ATOLLS

The Northern Atolls the least-developed region of Maldives, remain scarcely known to foreigners. This is a great place to experience traditional Maldivian life. Throughout the region, go diving and snorkelling and discover the wrecks along the western fringe of the atolls. Many are only now being adequately explored. Baa Atoll, a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve, boasts pristine waters, diverse marine life and the famous Manta Ray feeding ground, Hanifaru Bay. With just a handful of resorts and guesthouses, you’ll often feel like you have the Northern Atolls all to yourself.
